I am at my wits end with my five-month old little girl Emily. During the day she is a Gina baby and sleeps and eats on schedule with few problems but she is still consistently waking 3-5 times a night screaming and making a fuss. We have tried everything from sleep training to feeding to shushing etc but nothing seems to work. Even when I feed him and put him down he can often cry and be unsettled for up to 1½ - 2 hours afterwards. She is my second child and my 2 ½ old son was also a Gina baby and took 6 months to really sleep through the night but thrived on the routine.
My daughter does not use a dummy but seems to be a very sucky baby, quick to settle if we place our finger in her mouth which I know is a bad sleep association! Is it too late to introduce a dummy? She has been on solids for the past month as she is such a big/hungry girl.
I would love to have a consultation with Gina as I feel I have not slept for over five months. My baby has only slept through the night once and I just can't understand what I am doing wrong. I am constantly reading Gina's books to try and understand what I can do differently to change her ways but nothing seems to be working.
